I am a Scenic Artist, based in Leeds and trained by Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, and my passion for my profession has been based on a solid foundation of visual hands-on creativity throughout my life. Scenography presents a world of creative possibilities by blending an artistic eye with craftsmanship, visual interpretation and the art of illusion. Consequently it is thrilling to be thrown at a designer's vision, applying a continually increasing knowledge base of mark-making techniques, and to explore suitable materials in order to problem-solve an appropriate fabrication pathway that realises the design to its fullest potential.
Constantly eager for a challenge and the accomplishment of the finished realised set, I go to where I am wanted, having worked for clients in different parts of the UK and on site work abroad. Endeavouring to succeed with the design brief, I am habitually prepared to work under varying necessary conditions that can sometimes unavoidably occur inside such a dynamic industry in order to assist my clients – both as a member of a team or as a solo Scenic Artist.
I hope you will enjoy exploring through my work* and if you'd like to know more, please feel free to contact me via my contact page. You can also follow me on Instagram for updates on my workshop activities and any other mischief I might be getting myself into!
